This July on the th anniversary the CCOO and UGT unions will hold an event to pay tribute to the three murdered and to remember the tragic events. The event will be attended by the general secretaries of CCOO of Andalusia Nuria López; and from UGT-A Carmen Castilla. Subsequently a manifesto will be read and five minutes of silence will be observed in tribute to Antonio Huertas Remigio from Maracena a bricklayer Cristóbal Ibáñez Encinas a marble mason from Granada and Manuel Sánchez Mesa from Armilla workers killed in that strike. . The event will take place at : at the monument located in front of the Caleta courts on Calle Faisán in Granada.
The most important event related to the Granada labor movement was the construction strike of . Its origin is found in the demands that the construction sector made for the preliminary draft of the collective agreement that was to be debated by the UAE Phone Number provincial Construction Deliberative Commission. The main leaders of the CCOO were represented Pepe Cid de la Rosa Pedro Girón Juan Verdejo and Luis Afán de Rivera among others as well as some members of the workers' apostolate of Granada such as Antonio Quitián José Godoy Antonio Ganivet or Francisco Javier Prieto.
